DIY – Flat Iron/Curling Iron Cover

I found this cute pot holder at Dollar General for a penny in the clearance section.  Y’all know that I am a big fan of checking out the clearance section of every store that you go in…you never know what you’ll find!

I did forgot to take a “before” pic but just trust me when I say that it looked like any other pot holder that you might have in your kitchen.

You begin by folding the pot holder in half and then sewing the bottom and the side, leaving the top open where the iron will slide in.

After the sewing is complete then you can just tuck in your flat iron or curling iron!

I didn’t really think about this before but apparently pot holders come in different sizes.  This was a bit “smaller” but it still does the trick.

What fun things have you repurposed lately?

Stay awesome y’all!  ~lisa

  1. Wow! What a smart idea to use a pot holder, obviously the fabric is quality enough to withstand heat. I definitely need to make something like this because I always just throw my straightener on my toilet to let it cool and I’m afraid it’s going to fall off and burn something. Love this idea!
