My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 231 – Minifigs, bricks and more….

I have an attachment to a TMNT minifig that I lovingly call Ben, The Traveling Ninja.  I take him everywhere I go and often take pics of him a la Legography style

As you can see Ben has a pretty good time wherever he goes.  Take a look at this next pic…

I didn’t have anywhere to set Ben down so I had to hold him to get the shot.  Now of course this can be easily cropped but I’d rather have something that “holds” him and is much easier to crop out without cutting off the bottom half of his body.

Yesterday my hubby asked me if I wanted to go to the Minifigs, Bricks, and More store today in Denton.  Bless his heart, it’s not really his “thing” but he indulges me and wanted to go with me so I could look for some minifigs and things that I have been wanting.

The store is located in Golden Triangle Mall and while it’s not super fancy they do have a lot of Lego pieces and individual mini figs for sale as well as complete sets.

Here are the parts that I bought to *hopefully* will help me get some better shots without my fingers taking up half the frame.

I also found this cutie and although she isn’t *quite* what I was looking for I’m sure she’ll come in handy for some great pics soon.  I actually want something that looks like Sophia the First but Lego doesn’t make one soooooo……

ben's new friend

I took the long clear thing and put the blue thing in one end.  I’m sure in “Lego-speak” there’s a more technical term for it but yeah….I don’t know what it is.

The idea is that I’ll put Ben on top of this thing so that I can take shots and not have my fingers in the way.

Here’s my first attempt at taking a shot and I am already loving it!  It’ll be much easier to crop out that small piece then crop away half of Ben because my fingers were in the way.

I know that I am not the only one that loves minifigs…..right?

My Review of Tony’s Meat-Trio Pizza

I received my free coupon from BzzAgent to try out Tony’s Meat-Trio Pizzeria Style Crust Pizza.

tonys pizza

I prefer “fresh” pizza but do enjoy a frozen pizza every now and then.  I find that frozen pizzas typically do not have enough meet or cheese on them so we always embellish them with additional pepperoni’s and cheese.  This pizza was no exception.  I believe I added about 5-8 pepperoni’s and sprinkled some additional cheese.  I didn’t go overboard with it though, as you can see.

uncooked pizza

We baked the pizza according to the directions but…

Our pizza turned out a bit “dark” around the edges.

dark edges

Despite the darker edges the pizza was fine.  While it wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, it was tasty.

It was not overly greasy and had a nice crust to it.

And it is a product I’d buy again…especially if it was on sale.  I like to have some quick and easy meal options for those days when cooking a full dinner is not possible.

And even Ben, the traveling ninja, had to check out the pizza because you know ninja turtles love pizza.

Have you tried Tony’s pizza lately?

My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 72 – Oh no he didn’t….

Yes he did.  Or actually it may have been me.  I don’t remember.

To place blame isn’t really the point of this post.  I instead want to bring to your attention a crisis for me, and other crafters that is about to happen.

Over 17 billion TP tubes are used each year. That’s enough to fill the Empire State Building, twice. How many of those belong to your household?

I took the quiz on the Scott Brand website and my household’s estimated lifetime tube usage is 9,710!  According to the folks at Scott Brand, that’s enough TP tubes to make up a queen-size bed.

Don’t worry folks – that’s not a pic of my latest project but the pic they displayed when I took the quiz.  To find out your usage you just need to answer the three questions to see how many TP tubes you’ll eliminate by tossing the tube for goodCLICK HERE

I mean – how will I make my artwork for my wall?  Or my toilet paper tube rose wreath?  Or the other creations I haven’t quite thought of or discovered yet?

Even Ben, the traveling ninja, doesn’t know what to think.

What things are on your mind today?

My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 67 – Missing mouse

I packed up my laptop today and when I got home and was setting it up in my home office, I realized I had forgotten my mouse…say what?

At first it wasn’t really a big deal as I have a touch screen and can sort of work around it.

Honestly though…I needed my mouse.  I’m too used to working with it so back to the office I went to retrieve it.

My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 66 – C is for cookie canister

I love cookies and after searching high and low for the right canister set for us we finally found one.  It came with three different sizes and since we only planned on using the two smaller ones I knew that the largest one would make a great cookie jar!

My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 51 – She sells seashells sitting by the seashore…

I don’t sell seashells by the seashore or anywhere else BUT my awesome dad did make this really cool shell out of wood with his band saw!

A beautifully handcrafted piece.

The detail is amazing…

Even Ben, the traveling ninja, wants to take a peek…
