Eagle Creek Pack-It System Starter Set

We loved the Eagle Creek Pack-It System Starter Set so much…we bought another one!

Eagle Creek Pack-It System Starter Set

The starter set comes with a garment folder (M), a half cube and a cube.

The half cube is great for smaller things like underwear, socks, bras etc.

Half Cube

The full cube is awesome for things like t-shirts, night clothes, swimwear etc.

With all the cubes you can either roll or fold the clothes and you can compress them when you zip it up.  They really help you maximize space.

The garment folder or envelope, is probably my favorite thing!  It comes with a plastic board that guides you on how to fold the clothes and then you are able to compress the items very neatly for packing.

Garment Folder | M

We were able to pack 12 shirts in one folder and they only needed a light pressing when we got to our destination.

The system helps us not only keep our clothing organized and compact, it also helps with other items too.  We use a smaller cube, the quarter cube, for our essential electronics accessories like our phone chargers, camera battery chargers etc.

The cubes come in a variety of colors and while the packing cubes are a little expensive, they really are worth the investment.  They’ll help make your traveling life easier by saving you space in your luggage and keeping your items organized.

Hope this helps y’all as you plan your next adventure!  We’ll be posting a video soon on how we use our packing cubes.

The Fremont Troll

One of my favorite websites (and apps) is RoadsideAmerica.com.  I love visiting odd and unusual roadside attractions and the website has tons of them!

I’ve visited the Freemont Troll before but it’s always fun to see.  Have you ever been?  Do you have any pics?  What things do you like to see when you visit a city?

The Gum Wall in Seattle

This might be gross for some but I think it is awesome.

All these pieces of gum represent folks that have put a piece of gum in their mouth, chewed it for a bit and then stuck it on this wall.

Okay.  Maybe it is a little gross.  But we did it too.

Awwwww – he made the letters M and L.  Our initials.  That’s pretty much true love, right?

A Visit To 1912 Pike Place

I’ve visited Seattle several times but this time I was making a point to visit 1912 Pike Place.

Without googling, do you know what this place is?  Can you guess?  I mean if you know me and know what I drink most mornings….was that a big enough hint?

Yes.  I made a trip to my hot chocolate motherland.  Now I know Starbucks didn’t invent my hot chocolate but it is oh so good there!!

There was a bit of a line to get in but it moved quickly enough.  I got up to the counter and was able to order my venti hot chocolate. 🙂

I don’t know the girl in the background but I am sure that she enjoyed the whole Starbucks experience too!  haha!!  Have you ever visited the original store?

My Airport Travel Fashion Style

I took a recent trip to Washington state to see my grandkids and I wanted to wear some versatile and comfy outfits for my plane trip.

For the trip up I wore this black maxi skirt and I paired it with a CAbi chambray shirt.  I have a black and white striped tank underneath it but it’s not really visible.  I slipped on some TOMS and I was ready to go.

Another travel outfit option that I wore on this trip is a pair of Liz Claiborne jeans, a simple tee and a Neiman Marcus stretch knit blazer.  I love wearing my TOMS when traveling so I added those as well.

Here is another great option.

My Liz Claiborne jean and a simple tee topped with an olive green military jacket with my trusty TOMS are a perfect travel outfit.

Anytime I travel I also bring a pashmina with me for added warmth and comfort.

What are your favorite travel outfits?

My 365 Photo A Day Project – Day 21 – I’m following the map that leads to you….

Today I had some time between showings I had a chance to swing by Hobby Lobby and check on some things that I wanted to purchase for future craft projects.  I am going to be making a marquee letter H and I am also wanting to hang a map and show all the places we visited.

I found one map and then went to look at the clearance area {{ one should never pass up the clearance area }} and I found an AMAZING map!!

Yes it’s huge but I absolutely love it and it was only $10!!  I am hanging it over my sewing area…

where the map will go

I’m excited to start browsing for ideas to finish it out and glad that I found one so inexpensive!

Here’s Ben checking it out….

What cool things have you found in the clearance section lately?
